Sinead Reed-Forrester

Artist/Academic/Educator

Ma Visual Anthropology. Based in London, Uk.

My works explores how visual culture and representations affect our societal and personal narratives and perceptions. Portraits are my way of creating value by appreciating those who inspire me. My portraits create a visual memory of an energy exchange, leaving a trace of legacy behind. Because of this I use portraiture to tell the stories of those who are undervalued by the standards of society.

My work in the education and well-being space uses visual and anthropological approaches to well-being and inclusion.

  • I paint what I feel, I feel what I paint. Manifestations of moments in time, expressions, feelings and relationships.

  • My work explores the space between ‘Art’ and Social Science.

I connect visual culture and aesthetics with value perception and identity politics.
